Teach Us Your Wisdom

By Friends of Kevin, July 26, 2009 6:25 pm

Tom and Ann,

We learned more about our faith and things that we never new as as Catholics, while visiting your website. Your posts about Kevin kept us updated, but your theological insights helped us be stronger. As Catholics we fall into a routine. We pray and we go to church. Kevin gave us a reason to pray.

Many don’t know why we need to pray or how to pray for an intention. What novena’s do we pray now? How many really understood the Chaplet of Mercy? For many of the children of the ‘60 -70’s, we are just now understanding. I learned more about my own faith and how to become one with God, through Kevin’s website. I miss the daily website check in and feel the loss of not only Kevin, but of the Healey message.

Please consider posting more often and teach us what is important and relative to our faith.

Thank you.

The Power of Prayer

By Friends of Kevin, July 24, 2009 8:18 pm

I was reminded of the power of prayer. My daughter has experienced debilitating migraines for years. After many doctor visits, prescription medications (all with terrible side affects) and increased frustration; we found a doctor who prescribed natural supplements.

Overall things have improved – but she still experiences some tremendous headaches. About 3 weeks ago she had an aura (visual impairment indicating a migraine is about to occur) and I prayed to Kevin (remembering from his website his Mother’s invitation to pray to him)… my daughter had one of the most mild migraines she has ever experienced.

Two days later, another aura, another prayer to Kevin, and another very mild migraine. Three weeks passed and just a few days ago another aura, another prayer, and again another mild migraine. Perhaps for numerous reasons she experienced much milder symptoms. I believe Kevin assisted with his prayer for her … the power of prayer is very strong – thank you Kevin for reminding me.
